An intimate production inspired by the work of the Dutch Booker Prize winning writer Marieke Lucas Rijneveld. The performance mixes new verse by Rijnveld with performances by singer-songwriter Pitou and award-winning percussionist Dominique Vleeshouwers. After their first highly successful collaboration in Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw - as part of the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven’s signature series Sharp Thinkers (ScherpDenkers) - it was clear that a sequel would be inevitable. The two outstanding - and by nature innovative - musicians collaborate once again by setting some of Rijnveld’s texts to music and performing them, but leaving room for Rijneveld to read all of the texts herself. Other new musical pieces for percussion add more colour to this magical performance.
